I THOUGHT...

I dreamed of you, I wished for you, I thought only of you. Is about the desire for a dick. It is about what happens to a person when they deny their desire in favor of another’s. The desperation and the pain and the fantasies that get built around whatever part of them is being denied. I have always denied myself the things that I desire based on what I have been told I should desire. This project is about being allowed to want and crave something for myself. I’ve never understood who I am or what I want, my work will not be so easily understood by you or me.

The final product is RISO printed two colors, red and black on 24 pound paper. Swiss bound. The book includes pull tab pages and pop ups. All writing is my own, all illustrations are my own and done with crayon. Typefaces in use are Neue Haas Grotesque and Benton Sans Condensed.
